William Frederick CookWilliam Frederick Cook, born in 1885 in Framilode, was the eldest son of William and Elizabeth Cook. William followed his father to sea but has not been traced on the 1901 census when he may have been between ports. When he married Kate Attwood at St Cyr's, Stinchcombe, on 28 October 1907, he gave his address as Bristol, but by the time their son, William Henry, was baptised in 1909 they were living at The Lake, Frampton. Their daughter, Kate Elizabeth Sarah, was born a year later. Details of William Frederick's war service have not been traced but, like that of his younger brothers, Frederick Gilbert Alexander and Archibald Edward, it is commemorated on the plaque in Frampton Village Hall. |
